چکیده

The brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stål, BPH) is one of the most destructive rice pests worldwide. GXU202 a germplasm common wild (Oryza rufipogon Griff.) with high resistance to BPH. In this study, genetic analysis indicated that BPH-resistant phenotype controlled by major gene. Through combination and comparison QTL linkage BSA-seq analyses, novel gene locus, BPH41, conferring BPH was identified. This locus finely mapped 116-kb region delimited W4-4–3 W1-6–3 on chromosome 4. markers D01031 D01045 showed accuracy in predicting phenotypes resistant BPH, suggesting their reliability for marker-assisted selection BPH41 breeding varieties. present identification will establish foundation further map-based cloning functional characterization

Identification and Functional Analysis of Flowering Related microRNAs in Common Wild Rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.)

BACKGROUND MicroRNAs (miRNAs) is a class of non-coding RNAs involved in post- transcriptional control of gene expression, via degradation and/or translational inhibition. Six-hundred sixty-one rice miRNAs are known that are important in plant development. However, flowering-related miRNAs have not been characterized in Oryza rufipogon Griff. It was approved by supervision department of Guangdon...

Collection and Comparative Analysis of 1888 Full-length cDNAs from Wild Rice Oryza rufipogon Griff. W1943

A huge amount of cDNA and EST resources have been developed for cultivated rice species Oryza sativa; however, only few cDNA resources are available for wild rice species. In this study, we isolated and completely sequenced 1888 putative full-length cDNA (FLcDNA) clones from wild rice Oryza rufipogon Griff. W1943 for comparative analysis between wild and cultivated rice species. Two cDNA librar...

Cytological analysis for meiotic patterns in wild rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.)

The present report explores the chromosomal patterns during meiosis as a fundamental cell division study in wild rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.). Cytological assays revealed normal meiosis in most cases but in some instances meiotic abnormalities such as weak desynapsis, univalent and quadrivalent formation, translocation, spindle abnormalities and precocious movement of chromosomes were noticed....

Transcriptome Analysis of Salt Stress Responsiveness in the Seedlings of Dongxiang Wild Rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.)

Dongxiang wild rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.) is the progenitor of cultivated rice (Oryza sativa L.), and is well known for its superior level of tolerance against cold, drought and diseases. To date, however, little is known about the salt-tolerant character of Dongxiang wild rice. To elucidate the molecular genetic mechanisms of salt-stress tolerance in Dongxiang wild rice, the Illumina HiSeq ...

SSR mapping of brown planthopper resistance gene Bph9 in Kaharamana, an Indica rice (Oryza sativa L.).

The brown planthopper (BPH) is one of the most serious insects pests of rice, and the host resistance has been recognized as one of the most economic and effective measures for BPH management. In this study, we conducted a molecular-based genetic analysis of Bph9 in Kaharamana, a Sri Lanka rice variety resistant to BPH insects of East and Southeast Asia. An F2 segregating population composed of...
